The history of our Beech Plantations

A warm thank you to everyone who came and planted one or more beech saplings in support of research and education at Linnaeus University. The warm soup and pleasant conversations helped us forget the autumn chill. As always, our friend of the research foundation, Johan Sjöberg, donates the saplings, which are then purchased for 500 SEK each. These purchases generate invaluable scholarships for the university’s doctoral students and for the Best Dissertation Award, which is presented during the university’s annual celebration.
